A Reflection

Consider the Liturgy and how we come, thru time, to consider it as “comfortable words” to us; sort of like a favorite pair of slippers or bathrobe or even that worn out shirt that we want to put on, not when we’re trying to impress someone but when we don’t feel up to par and want to be surrounded or enveloped by those things that we find comfort in.

It’s not a matter of repeating the same old phrases and prayers week after week; but rather a matter of developing a relationship with them so they can sustain us when nothing else can.
